Tentative Agreement Summary

Your CWA Bargaining Committee is pleased to announce that we have reached a 3-year agreement with Lumen, which extends our contract until March 31st, 2029.

When Lumen representatives approached us about doing an extension, we knew that timing was going to be critical, and we felt that entering into a 3-year extension made the best sense for our members, knowing that LUMEN was also in the process of selling some of its assets to AT&T.

By extending the contract, we were able to keep all current benefits for active and retired employees while making improvements in wages, a ratification bonus, securing better successorship language to address future sales, and improving our neutrality agreement for the potential to expand our footprint for work in other areas and grow our unionized workforce at Lumen.

All results must be reported to Elle Robery at erobery@cwa-union.org no later than
October 17, 2025, by 11:00 a.m. Pacific, 12:00 p.m. Mountain, and 1:00 p.m. Central time. Any results reported after that time will not be counted in the final tally for ratification.

Contract extension for 3 years, effective March 29th, 2026, and expires at 11:59 pm MDT on March 31, 2029. No changes in benefits for active employees or retirees.

Wage increases:

June 1, 2026 4%
June 1, 2027 4%
June 1, 2028 4%

$1,000 Ratification Bonus paid to all active employees 4 weeks after ratification date

Within 60 days of ratification, the Company and the Union will meet to negotiate enhancements to the letter of Agreement concerning the EVSPP.

Amended our successorship language to ensure that CWA members keep our union and our union contract if and when Lumen sells any part of the Qwest business that affects bargaining unit employees. This will go into effect upon ratification.

Expanded neutrality language to all of Lumen and Lumen subsidiaries across the 15-state region of CWA District 7. This will help us bring more workers into CWA and strengthen our union without interference from the company! This will go into effect at the close of the sale.

Please see the attached document for the full summary of changes that will be voted on.
