CWAers Stop Work to Take A Stand Against Racism and Police Violence
On Thursday June 10th, CWA members across the country participated in actions to take a stand against racism and police violence. Many members stopped work for 8 Minutes and 46 Seconds - the length of time the Minneapolis police officer who viciously murdered George Floyd had his knee on his neck.
CWA members have supported the protests his tragic killing has sparked across the country, and started conversations with each other about how to dismantle racism.
Please see the attached FAQs. We have been getting a lot of questions from Locals and on our calls regarding the employee offers to AT&T Mobility and NetworkCo. We all still have a lot of questions and we are getting new information every day and will continue to provide updates and changes as we go along.
Our Local Officers, members, and Staff who work and support our members at Mobility are a great resource and we appreciate them joining us on our call to help answer some of the Customer Ambassador's questions.
NetworkCO is a new company, and they are just starting to get their leadership structure in place and it seems that there are a lot of things they still haven't ironed out but we are going to continue to work on getting answers, and we will continue to share what we learn and know through this process. Employees can also reach out to their HR Onboarding department for answers regarding employment at NetworkCo.
